The Invisible Children: Nipping Failure in the Bud Book

'It's simple but it works' is how one volunteer summed up his experience of running a Pyramid Club. These effective and inexpensive after-school clubs, provided by the National Pyramid Trust, are for children between 7 and 9 years of age who are identified by their teachers as 'at risk' emotionally, socially and academically. Club-children show significant and lasting improvement in self-esteem, resilience and application to school work. This book aims to inform teachers and parents about the Pyramid scheme and how it could be introduced in their own areas. It brings a message of hope to all teachers and parents concerned about the future of the 'invisible children' who so often lose out in the competition for limited resources to those whose needs are more obvious and dramatic.
