The Young Charles Darwin Book

My daughter had to write a 10-page Senior term paper over Darwin, and we purchased this book and six additional books so she could research him. Out of all the resources, this book was the most helpful as far as his early life, childhood, education and the various mentors and relationships he had. It goes into depth about his relationships with his father, grandfather, and brother, as well as a detailed account of his schooling. It extensively covers the men who influenced him while at Edinburgh and Cambridge and even has a wealth of knowledge about the relationship with Captain FitzRoy. Out of all of the books purchased, this book was the most helpful.
