The Strong Eye of Shamanism: A Journey into the Caves of Consciousness Book

I had owned this book for about 12 years. It is a pretty intense social anthropological look at shamanism in several traditions (south american, north american, african, eastern european). I finally picked it up and had a go at it and read the whole thing quickly. I have had a life-long interest in shamanism. This book really put some things into context for me. If you're a student of shamanic practices, or if you are really interested in the roots of indigenous healing practices, this is a great book. (not a light read!)
