The Steward of Christendom Book

I'll always have time for the stories of those who get left out of sanctioned histories, those groups who by their very existence disrupt the binary schema of 'oppressor' and 'oppressed' that so dominates modern thinking. Probably no category of people (other than the non-Aryans who fought for the Führer) falls more squarely on the 'wrong' side of history than colonial loyalists: those groups, such as the Algerian Harkis, Rhodesian African Rifles, Māori Kūpapa iwi and Irish Catholic Unionists, who fought on behalf of the imperial overlord which their fellow countrymen were fighting to overthrow.
Overall, though, this play was a bit underwhelming. Despite the fragmentary postmodernist conceit of the structure, there were some good moments. The extended monologues were probably the best bit, though funnily enough I feel like they wouldn't work as well on stage as they do on page. They just wouldn't be believable.
