The Collected Poems of L. E. Ward: The Hollywood Poems and Others
I appreciate the brevity with which Brown expresses his thoughts--I'm not a fan of 'poems' that stretch for several pages. While there are some interesting thoughts and allusions here, often the poems seemed rather unassuming, uneventful. I believe he has a good sense of wordplay and expression, but in this collection at least, everything seems muted.
