This was a fun and informative read. It was interesting to learn about the world of Taverns and the role they played in Colonial life and politics. Salinger brings to life a time right before the beginnings of the hotel. While the curious in me would love to be able to see what went on during these times the realist in me knows it would be a little too unsanitary for me (yes I know it was a different time).
