This illustrated self-teaching language package makes an ideal introduction to basic Spanish conversational and reading skills for language students who need additional help with the rules and applications of grammar. The book presents 12 lessons that cover the parts of a sentence, with each lesson using short conversational dialogues to dramatize typical social situations. The same characters reappear from one lesson to the next, lending an air of realism to their dialogues. Students of Spanish learn to identify parts of speech, verb forms, and other points of grammar, as they familiarize themselves with vocabulary that is typical in conversational speech. Lessons have practice exercises interspersed throughout to test the student's developing fluency, plus a summary test at the end of each of the 12 lessons. Following the 12-lesson dialogue format, the book's final section presents a formal summary of Spanish grammar, supplemented with a useful vocabulary list. The compact disc that comes with the book presents dramatized dialogues that reflect the book's contents.

Succeeding with Spanish Grammar: Easy Learning Step by Step with Audio Compact Disc
Very interesting way for any beginning Spanish learners. You are pulled into a story where you apply what you learn at the very end to finish "a mission." I wouldn't recommend it for intermediate or advanced Spanish learners (it's slow and boring), but this would be good for someone who knows only a handful of Spanish or has taken Spanish level 1 and/or 2. It goes at a challenging pace for beginners and uses a lot of useful phrases and unique vocabulary.
One thing I'd keep in mind is that they don't really teach you about the differences between formal and informal uses of Spanish, such as the difference of tú and usted, until near the end. Make sure you research these differences so it can give you a heads up as you're learning phrases. ¡Buena suerte!
