Streets and Spaces Book

A presentation of the photographs created by Shirley Baker when she revisited the streets and spaces of Salford and Manchester that she famously photographed in the late 1960s and early 1970s.The photographer grew up in Manchester and has captured powerful and memorable images of communities under transformation. Many of the streets of the 1960s are no longer there, save for an isolated building that stands as a static reminder.
