The Rocketdyne firm, formed just after World War II, was a pioneer in missile engines and space travel and is still building engines for the space shuttle today under parent company Pratt & Whitney. Kraemer, an aeronautical engineer who worked at Rocketdyne in the 1950s and '60s, details the company's story and projects through the recollections of team members as well as through the private library of Rocketdyne and NASA materials amassed by retiree Vince Wheelock. Many b&w images are included. Annotation © 2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
