This book is a compilation of articles written by practiced Illustrators writing about the trade, the education, and anything that comes to mind about Illustration. It's irritating to read in the beginning because the first few articles are about old Illustrators who are mad at the invention of the computer and its effect on the Illustration business. It also has a few articles about Illustrators who are angry that they can't draw exactly what they want when they're given a job. Go be a fine artist if you can't handle a commission. The rest of the book is a must have for any illustrator. It contains many syllabuses of illustration teachers and several descriptions of projects assigned in art school. It makes for wonderful practice. This book also contains a quote that I will forever remember. "An artist needs art school as much as dumbo needed his magic feather."
