Primate sexuality Book

I don't think there's any way for me to give the book a fair rating, especially since I only made it about halfway through.

It was an interesting look in the way Power, Money, Fame, and Sex were used and abused... in the past. Despite examples across millenia-- implying enduring principles-- the end result felt horrifically outdated in a post-internet world.

It felt like a good summation of the sort of things that millennials and younger look on with embarrassment and disdain, not ways to climb the modern social ladder.

Of course, that's not to say we don't seek Power, Money, Fame and Sex in our own, often equally or more manipulative ways. But this book won't teach you how to get, use, or avoid manipulation of Power, Money, Fame, and Sex in 2018 unless you're already part of the old guard.

I found the quizzes fun and instructive, and the true rules were usually more interesting and enduring than the rest of the book. In the end, though, I couldn't keep myself interested enough in the weird, WASPy cultural picture the book was painting to finish it.

Like napkins, breastaurants, diamonds, and bar soap, millennials and younger will probably want to pass on this one.
