Preserving New York: Winning the Right to Protect a City's Landmarks

This book was an interesting look into the history of the landmarks preservation movement in NYC. While it contains lots of interesting detail, some of the writing felt a bit redundant and the book was missing analysis of public controversy in my cases. It was a solid background read, but I found I wanted more information on how the sausage was made, so to speak.
