Popville Book

After reading Under the Ocean I decided to check out what other books the library had by the same creator. This one happily lived up to the standard of that first book I read. While the pop-up mechanisms again seem fairly basic, the effect is really quite extraordinary: successively larger cut-outs in the right-hand page allow the pop-up elements to persist, so each turn of the page adds more and more buildings and structures, from one initial building to a whole sprawling metropolis with a pair of extra fold-out flaps. It is a really engaging and fun idea.
