Rick started with a large metro police department at the ripe age of twenty-three. All through his life except for the last five years of his career, he worked the streets as a road patrol officer answering radio calls.
He befriended four older veteran officers and their friendship grew into a very tight bond. The stories within this book are the memories told by Rick and the four other officers during their social moments. The combination of the funny and the not so funny moments make the book.
During Rick's career he obtained seventeen divisional commendations, sixteen squad commendations and twelve citizen commendations. He was voted "Police Officer of the Year", received a Medal of Bravery, commendation from the Ohio House of Representative.
