Great intro text and basic repair guide. Gives some basic background on the history and devotional uses of the instrument. Worth purchasing alone for the second half of easy-to-understand functional/technical descriptions and illustrated walkthroughs of maintenance (tuning, eliminating reed buzz, etc.). I did some tuning and filed away some burrs in my reeds with this book in hand. Made me way more confident in the work.
