One Night with the Tycoon Book

This one was pretty good considering nothing too over the top occurred, both characters were likeable and reacted mostly like normal people.

The Hero comes upon the heroine, crying her eyes out at the wedding of her ex-fiancé and her step sister. He comforts her and gets her pouring her heart out to him on this double betrayal. He convinces her to leave the wedding with him and ultimately to leave and accompany him to the states as a kind of holiday.

The normally strait laced heroine surprises herself by agreeing. The rest of the story is the couple getting to know each other and the Hero finding out more about the relationship between the heroine and the ex. It seems the Ex has a very tyrannical uncle who controls the purse stings.

SPOILERS:

As I suspected all along, the Hero is the “uncle”.

Anyway, in the end I was quite pleased that the heroine not only ended up with the much nicer and wealthy Hero, and her scheming, gold-digger step gets the womaniser ex who will now be required to live frugally on his salary.

So a good enough comeuppance for the evil step sis and her equally manipulative mom.
