National Forest Scenic Byways Far West Book

This book is your chance to meander through old-growth forests, trace salmon-filled rivers, and cross trails leading deep into wilderness areas. Each of the 33 byway descriptions includes information on the best season to travel, historic sites, geology, and the enless recreation opportunities that exist along these routes. A travel map for each byway shows campgrounds, special features such as visitors centers and recreation areas, connecting roads, and nearby towns. Most of the officially designated scenic routes are paved and all are easily navigated by passenger cars.
