N-O Spells No is a great book for beginning readers becasue of the smaller vocabulary. I loved the illustrations in this book. I especially liked Kate's facial expressions and her pouty attitude. I think that children will find this book funny because in the end, it seems as though Kate's mother tricks her into saying "yes." I agree that this book should be for children between Kindergarten and second grade. I would even read this book aloud to younger children in preschool, because i think they would enjoy the illustrations.
