An entirely new version of the set of computer-based lessons on computer literacy has been created for use on Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Windows NT. These lessons are designed for people of all ages who know nothing or very little about computers. They cover the following topics: interacting with a computer; input and output devices used to get data into a computer or receive information from it; how the CPU of a computer works and how data is held in a computer; storage devices; what programming is; the systems development life cycle of computer systems; computer networks with a section on the Internet and the World Wide Web; introductions to the concepts involved in word processing, spreadsheets and databases. These lessons do not teach you how to use any particular packages but focus on the general ideas which are implemented in most, if not all, packages of these three kinds.
