Fortunately for Marley, the kittens want to keep him company also, and everything works out for Marley in the end. The story is sweet, and can teach young children that they can be loved even when they make mistakes. This will also teach children the difference between cats and dogs. The realistic illustrations are beautiful. The cats are snuggly, Marley is beautiful, and the humans are genuine. The humans and animals both have very expressive eyes and facial features.
