52 Books in 52 Weeks Challenge Completed: The First Book You See in a Bookstore/Library.

I was fortunate enough today to visit my local library to pick up my items that were on hold and saw that they had children books catering to Valentine's Day and this was the first book that caught my attention.

I've never been into the whole Valentine's Day celebration where for one day out of the year everyone is forced to be romantic and make single people feel a bit sad and miserable for not having a valentine. Like what happened to the other 364 days out of the year where you should be romantic and nurturing your partner?

This is such a sweet and cute picture book for mother and daughter to read together. The pure innocence of a child hits me to my core and this will warm your heart. It's seven days leading up to Valentine's Day and Lilly wants to do something special for her mom. So she decides to make a cut out heart using construction paper and yet each day she's unable to make the "perfect" heart. Yet she doesn't realize that the act itself is the most treasured item you can give to your parent.

If the waterworks haven't kicked in or you aren't blubbering in tears then you have no soul! This book makes you analyze and cherish how important it is to showcase your loved ones how special they mean to you even if it's a simple I love you. The illustrations were cute and the story is simplistic as it should be.
