Local and Regional Governance in Europe : Evidence from Nordic Regions Book

Political scientists specializing in the Scandinavian countries explore how municipalities and regions there respond to European integration, particularly in such ways as as international contacts and exchanges within the private sector business world, the organization of new administrative routines, co-operation with the state, and the defense of local autonomy. They discuss Nordic politics in a changing territorial perspective, internationalism on the local level in Norway, regionalization in Sweden, Finnish regions and municipalities in a Nordic setting, and Nordic bifurcation in post- wall Europe.
