Legends of the Yosemite Miwok Book

This is the revised edition of an entertaining collection of some of the most representative Miwok legends from the Yosemite region. Efforts have been made to find the earliest and presumably most accurate versions of the stories which have been rewritten in as consistent a style as possible. New to this version are notes providing the source of each legend and information about alternate versions, variations, etc. There's also an annotated bibliography with a list of important original works from which these legends were extracted.
