Rather than being a history of tea it is a means for the authors to assuage their guilt as being members of a family that benefited by their former involvement in the tea growing industry and consequent exploitation of tea workers. One must look elsewhere for a detailed history on the origins of tea, with commentary on the various blends and regional tastes.
