Lady in the Dark
A very interesting story that unfortunately kept getting bogged down in a mass of details. Most of the details were necessary ones, of course, but they could have been better organized and presented (and sometimes, I think, better interpreted).
On the whole, however, the book did a fairly good job of capturing an event and a period. And it made me dig out my soundtrack of "Star!" (the Gertrude Lawrence biopic) again, so that's all to the good.
