Islamicate Sexualities: Translations across Temporal Geographies of Desire

Currently doing Gender Studies, I found this book quite fascinating. I previously enjoyed Najmabadi's "Women with Moustaches" so I picked this one up, too, as she's an editor and contributor. I really enjoyed the first three essays:
-the first by Valerie Traub introducing the past as a "foreign country";
-the second by Leyla Rouhi on including "Don Quixote" within the realm of Islamicate literature;
-the third by Sahar Amer examining the connection between two medieval, female same-sex tales, one French and the other Arabic.
