International Law in Contemporary Perspective Book

International law, once a marginal and largely abstract part of the work of the lawyer and diplomat, has become one of the central facets of modern legal and political life. Yet for all its current familiarity, international law continues to be one of the most intellectually difficult and often frustrating parts of the law school curriculum. This book seeks to provide law students with an intellectual framework for comprehending this extraordinarily difficult but exciting subject by focusing, first, on the processes of contemporary international law, and, then, by equipping students with the tools for performing the essential intellectual tasks of the lawyer.
