3. Summary: This poem complication encompasses the theme of doing chores. It talks about chores, and how the children aren't thrilled about doing them. But, they learn that chores can be fun when there's a little creativity involved.
4. Review: I was actually pretty surprised by this book, for the better. I enjoyed the rhyming and how the illustrator incorporated a sense of quality family time while the children were doing chores with the adults in their life.
5. 2-3 in class uses:
What's your least favorite chore? Each child will talk or write (depending on age) about their least favorite chore. Then, they will discuss how they can use their creativity to make it more fun.
As a class, students and teacher will choose 4 poems from the book and identify at least 2 pairs of rhyming words per poem.
