I Miss My Pencil
What I enjoyed most about this book is that it takes you fairly deep into the thought processes of the two designer authors, from conception to iteration and to retrospective. Although the items they designed for this text were not truly meant for consumption and thus the work the authors performed was essentially an intellectual exercise, in some way following this "fictional" process is much more rewarding than following the process for designing a real product because we get to see their design process in its purest form rather than in one constrained and directed by brand identities, market segments, and the search for universal appeal.
