Today Lola wants to do everything all on her own, but things aren't as easy as she thought they'd be. I Can Do Anything That's Everything All on My Own (Charlie and Lola Series)
We have read many of the books in the Charlie and Lola, originally created by Lauren Child. The stories are fun and our girls love the characters from watching them on television. I insist on reading them with a (terrible) English accent and our girls humor me by not complaining too much.
The illustrations are as terrific as we've come to expect with these books, and although this story is not actually written by Ms. Child, but instead based on one of the television episodes, it still retains most of the charm of the original books.
Overall, it isn't our favorite of the series, but it's an entertaining story and we enjoyed reading it together.
