Here is the African savanna Book

Beautiful book that takes a small portion of the African savannah to give to children so they can see how all plants and animals within this environment are connected together.

The best part about the book is for those who have grown-up with it the book has the same rhyming cadence as "The House That Jack Built" so if you end up singing along with it then it isn't my fault. And most of the words are easy to read although if you have a child who is just learning than there may be some parts where some help is necessary.

Another thing I liked about the book is the realistic illustrations that presents the animals and environment to the reader. If you carefully watch the majority of the pages it will show to the reader what animal or item may appear next n the rhyming sequence thus allowing you to engage with the story. I also enjoyed trying to see what was happening in the background since the story was still ongoing with some of the other characters.

Then the book ends up with two pages that gives the name of the plant and animals that were included in the story. It goes on to explain a bit about the savannah, how animals are dependent on the grass whether directly or indirectly as well as the problems that the animals of the savannah are facing.

All in all it is a great book to introduce children to wildlife in their natural environment as well as one that throws in some science that children won't even see coming.
