I have a client with a form a form of Nonverbal Autism. In order to increase the Quality of Care that I provide, I am constantly on the lookout for related literature. Stewart's book caught my attention immediately, as it actually contained the word "nonverbal" in the title. That being said, as Stewart uses it, "nonverbal" is a bit of a misnomer. Her book does not contain a single case study involving an individual who is nonverbal. Though Stewart's book contains a wealth of (if somewhat dated) information, it is very repetative, and it was not helpful in the way that I'd hoped it would be.
