Growing and Eating Green: Careers in Farming, Producing, and Marketing Food
This was part of Julia's fixation with trucks this week. Unfortunately we didn't find anything very good. The other book we found last library trip was for kids younger than Julia and it still wasn't very good. This is... I'm not sure what this actually is.
It's obviously meant to inform kids about the career but it's very, very, very (did I mention very?) dry. Think like, major desert dry. That type.
This is like 25% story (not a good one at all), 25% repetitiveness (of the not so interesting facts surrounding the career) and 50% dryness.
It doesn't cover very much although at first glance it seems to.
I'd suggest passing this by. Even if you're child is intensely interested in the subject there has to be better books out there somewhere. This is a huge waste of time IMO.
