Frank's Fear Book

While the plot itself was okay and the story well told in a great teen voice, I can't really appreciate the disrespectful comments from disgusted thirteen-year-olds about their disgusting parents who have these pathetic stone age ideas. Like, Mothers who actually think they can tell their teens what to do. It's so not right. And the lies teens are forced to tell to get around crazy over-anxious parents' rules.

I'd give this book four stars for story and writing quality and one for "ideas expressed." I'm sure the writer has tapped into the attitudes of real teens and portrayed them accurately, but if you're a parent this is scary reading. Spoiler alert: Thankfully things actually do work out in the end.
