Farmer's Wife Canning and Preserving Cookbook: Over 250 Blue-Ribbon Recipes! Book

Over all this was a pretty useful book, however, it the recipes, though creative and scrumptious sounding, are very antiquated. There are several that read as follows: One part, this two parts that, and 1 cup for every pound. They aren't so much difficult as they just require a different train of thinking when assembling the ingredients. Many of the recipes are dated up to 100 years ago. Perhaps folks didn't have precise measuring tools as readily available to them as we do now. It was a very interesting read that I picked up at the library, and I may consider adding a purchased copy to my personal collection of canning books in the near future.
