Far futures Book

I actually wound up reading only one of the five stories in this book. Two are also in other books in my reading pile so I skipped them here.

Judgment Engine by Greg Bear - I didn't make it far into this book. I liked some of Bear's earlier work but lately I have problems just reading it. There seems to be too much jargon and new words that are not explained. It's just requires too much work to read it.

Genesis by Poul Anderson - I did not read this.

Historical Crisis by Donald Kingsbury - I started this one but did not finish. It's supposed to be a reimagining of part of Asimov's Foundation trilogy. Again, it just was hard work to get through the part that I did read. I don't have much patience for this because it is not enjoyable.

For White Hill by Joe Haldeman - I did not read this one.

At the Eschaton by Charles Sheffield - I made it through this one but I regret it. The first half of the story was interesting and a good read. Toward the end the plot took a turn for the worse. It just seemed to be much longer than it needed to be because there were really two different stories tacked together. Neither of them had a satisfying ending.
