Exactly What Happened Book

I will be going back to these poems again, not to figure out what they mean--the thetic statement of each poem at least seems apparent--but to chew on and savor those meanings, because they are rich and original.

And, six years later, a lovely piece to return to. The thrill of Brouwer for me lies in his earnestness, in the way he embodies this kind of powerfully flawed naivete, the way he makes it dance to music. A total pleasure to reread.
