Earthly Bodies, Magical Selves: Contemporary Pagans and the Search for Community
I read this book in my Religious Studies senior seminar class. This book is an academic research on the Neo-pagan community, but its approach is more anthropological compare to the other books we read in class. I'm not a fan of anthropological research books, however, Pike did a great job giving us materials she had studied on this new religious movement. By studying the group from their point of view and actually participating at the Neo-pagan festivals, I had a well-defined understanding of this movement and cleared several misconceptions I had on this movement. In overall, it's ok.
