Продолжение банкета. Венути здеÑÑŒ Ñобирает воедино маргиналии к темам, покрытым первой книгой, и пытаетÑÑ Ð¾Ñ‚Ð²ÐµÑ‡Ð°Ñ‚ÑŒ на разнообразные вопроÑÑ‹, почему у Ð½Ð°Ñ Ð²Ñе так. Почему преимущеÑтвенно переводÑÑ‚ÑÑ Ð¸ издаютÑÑ _такие_ книжки, а не те, какие бы хотелоÑÑŒ? Отчего популÑрна вÑÑÐºÐ°Ñ ÑˆÐ½Ñга, а не, опÑÑ‚ÑŒ же, гениальные книги, которые нравÑÑ‚ÑÑ Ð½Ð°Ð¼? Почему Ð½Ð°Ñ ÑƒÑ‡Ð°Ñ‚ тому, чему Ð½Ð°Ñ ÑƒÑ‡Ð°Ñ‚, а не чему-то по-наÑтоÑщему полезному? Откуда вот Ñто вот вÑе и зачем? И Ñ‚.д.
Как и при чтении первой книги, здеÑÑŒ тоже имеет автоматичеÑки заменÑÑ‚ÑŒ «англоговорÑщий мир» на «руÑÑкоговорÑщий», делать некоторую поправку на Ñкономику и ' «Ñличать, Ñличать» (Ñ). Тогда ÑтановитÑÑ Ð¿Ð¾Ð½Ñтно, почему великодержавный Ñтноцентризм в переводе ' практика Ð¿Ð¾Ñ€Ð¾Ñ‡Ð½Ð°Ñ (а так ' поди Ñто объÑÑни, не поймут же). Ðто в широком ÑмыÑле. Рв более узкоÑпециальном ' почему не Ñтоит Ñводить практику и преподавание перевода к лингвиÑтике, как Ñто чаÑто и широко делают, и почему Ñто ведет к культурному шовинизму. ИнтереÑных кейÑов тут тоже очень много ' в чаÑтноÑти, очень познавателен краткий очерк художеÑтвенного перевода в Китае в первой половине ХХ века: много полезных параллелей отÑюда может вывеÑти пытливый читатель.
Ðу и важный Ð²Ð¾Ð¿Ñ€Ð¾Ñ Ñтики продолжает оÑвещатьÑÑ: Ð¸Ð»Ð»ÑŽÐ·Ð¸Ñ Ð¿Ñ€Ð¾Ð·Ñ€Ð°Ñ‡Ð½Ð¾Ñти и беглоÑти доÑтигаетÑÑ Ð¿Ñ€ÐµÑтидижитацией переводчика, жонглирующего Ñтандартным диалектом. Само по Ñебе Ñто, конечно, немалое иÑкуÑÑтво, Ñпору нет, но Ð¸Ð»Ð»ÑŽÐ·Ð¸Ñ Ð¾Ñ‚ Ñтого не переÑтает быть иллюзией. Приручающему переводчику приходитÑÑ Ð¾Ñ‡ÐµÐ½ÑŒ Ñильно ÑтаратьÑÑ, чтобы чужой текÑÑ‚ Ñтал приемлем Ð´Ð»Ñ Ð¿ÐµÑ€ÐµÐ²Ð¾Ð´Ñщей его культуры, но доÑтигаетÑÑ Ñто в широком диапазоне за Ñчет, в первую очередь, измены автору и его Ñтилю, натужным (хоть и Ñколь угодно ловким и умелым) Ñужением диапазона и обеднением региÑтров речи. Рчужой текÑÑ‚ так и оÑтаетÑÑ Ñ‡ÑƒÐ¶Ð¸Ð¼, так что оÑтраннÑющий подход тут, безуÑловно, чеÑтнее.
