نبذة عن الكتاب :
يبدأ الكاتب الكتاب بمقدمة عن الذرات وعن الاÙكار التي صدرت عنها من 400 Ù‚.Ù… والى القرن الماضي . وعن التطبيقات الكيميائية لاكتشا٠الذرة .
ثم ينتقل الى Øركة الاجسام وغاليلو ونيوتن وارائهم ÙÙŠ هذا المجال.
ثم الضوء واقسامه الى Øركة الكواكب والمناقشات الشهيرة Øول مركزية الارض .
ثم ÙŠÙصل الكاتب باقي اقسام الÙيزياء من الانتروبيا والنسبية والكهرومغناطيسة وغيرها .
ثم بعد ذلك انتقل الى البيولوجيا والتطور ودور لامارك ÙÙŠ وضع اسس نظرية التطور .
ÙÙŠ النهاية يختم الكاتب بموجز عن وطننا (الارض) وعن عمرها وعن الصÙØ§Ø¦Ø Ø§Ù„ØªÙƒØªÙˆÙ†ÙŠØ© .

عيب الكتاب هو الترجمة السيئة . ÙÙÙŠ بداية الكتاب كانت الترجمة متوسطة ولكن ÙÙŠ النهاية وخصوصا ÙÙŠ Ùصل البيولوجيا Ùقد كانت الترجمة كارثية .
لكن الكتاب كان جيد ÙÙŠ مواضع عدة منها : ان الكاتب ذو اطلاع علمي واسع ÙÙŠ عدة تخصصات . واستطاع تبسيط الكثير من المÙاهيم .
بالاضاÙØ© الى ذكر الكاتب الكثير من العلماء الÙرنسيين الذين لا يذكرون ÙÙŠ الكتب العلمية عادة لان اغلب الكتب العلمية تكتب بيد البرطانيين .
