Colors Book

This book is unlike anything I have ever read! I absolutely love the illustrations! The illustrations are completely unique, they seem pop right off the page! This book is amazing not only because of the pictures, but the words too. The words really liven the book. Each page talks about a different color, and there is a poem to match it. The colors on the pages are so vibrant. Most of the poems are talking about the color spectrum. Each poem is unique to every color. Which is one of the reasons why I love this book. When I first saw this book, it immediately caught my eye just by looking at the front cover. This is definitely a book I want to have in my school library. Each page is a double spread, because of that, there is so much to look at! This book is full of so many detailed pictures and random surprises! There are many many different fonts used on each page. The poet tends to put personification in the colors. The poems say that the colors do things humans do. Such as sit, think, feel. Also gives them characteristics like witty, well connected. Another thing I like is how the author didn't use everyday colors. He used colors like Magenta, Burgundy, Olive, Turquoise, Flesh color, Azure, and Chartreuse. This book exposed me to colors I never knew existed before.
