Bender examines the transformation of corporate organization in response to changes in the business environment wrought by modern information and communication technologies (ICT). Focusing on firm boundaries in two very different industries, the author shows how ICT has led to improvements in communication and coordination in the manufacturing sector while creating intellectual property rights problems in the media sector.
