After her wedding four years ago, Amy J. Tol recognized the need for a book that would not only address the plans whirling through a bride's mind but would also speak to the bride's heart. With memories of her own engagement still fresh in her mind, she began writing The Bride's Handbook, hoping to share some of the spiritual and practical insights she gained from her bridal experience.

Before writing this book, Amy worked as a freelance writer and helped develop online projects for several nonprofit organizations. Today, she is the youth director at her church. She lives in Holland, Michigan, with her husband, Brian.
