Blazing Colts
I liked that this book had more of the main characters spending time together. I'm not a fan of love triangles but this one is so mild that it didn't really bother me at all.
Not loving that book 2 was "Glynis saves the slaves" and this one was "Glynis saves the First Nations." It's all pretty white savior. Could be worse but it's not good.
I know it's like 25 years too late but the author should have stuck more to the first book's plot of random dead people rather than giving a "first person historical perspective" on racial issues. It's not a great look. Not that those things should be ignored - it's that they're treated like a problem of the week format.
However, other than those glaring issues the actual writing is good, just not so much some of the handling of issues. I'm sure the author meant well, but...
I'm hoping the next one goes back to book 1 format.
