Befriending a Foe (How to Train Your Dragon Series)
This book follows the story of Hiccup and Toothless, per the movie. It only focuses on the story specifically of Hiccup and Toothless becoming friends. It ends where he finally rides Toothless with the fin invention. It's a cute story and follows the movie exactly.
My daughter was very attuned to this story. She was captivated by the pictures and paid very close attention. I think we'll have to put the movie on for her soon since she seemed to enjoy this one so much.
UPDATE 6/11/20: We just re-read this 4.5 years later and it's still a nice story. I liked how it told the story from the outside but didn't regurgitate the whole story so it was really able to focus on how they built their friendship and trust. It also had a lot of good vocab words for my 5 year old. My 2.5 year old also enjoyed listening to this book and the pictures included. Overall a good book about friendship.
