Becoming an Outdoors Woman: My Outdoor Adventure Book

This quick read is a compilation of primarily hunting stories by BOW founder Christine Thomas. BOW stands for Becoming an Outdoors Woman. BOW is an international non-profit organization that helps women become acquainted with the outdoors. These ways include, but are not limited to, fishing, hiking, hunting, map and compass skills, kayaking, camping, outdoor cooking, snowshoeing, etc.

While I am not a hunter, I did enjoy this book. Her love of the outdoors as well as her willingness to challenge herself in traditionally male activities encourages women to try it too. This book is "tastefully" written in the sense that it doesn't go into the "details" of hunting. I don't think I could have read about those. Unless you are definitely "anti-hunting" this book is a pleasureable read.
