Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur : May 2008: A Phenomenological Study Book

Entrepreneurship plays a significant role in global economic development. The entrepreneur is often acknowledged as one of the most significant influencers in the successful launch and growth of new ventures. Much research on entrepreneurs has been done investigating entrepreneurial personality characteristics and external factors, mostly utilizing large sample sizes. Few research studies have researched entrepreneurship with a personalized focus on the individual. This transcendental phenomenological study contributes to the arena of entrepreneurial research by providing a comprehensive view of the lived experience of becoming a successful entrepreneur. The essences in the composite descriptions revealed the ways in which participants of this study experienced becoming successful in entrepreneurship.
