Barely proper Book

Historical English romance with childhood friends helping each other in a murder mystery while falling in love with each other. Mr Terrance Winslow has got himself in trouble as he is framed for murder in his childhood neighborhood where there are alot of people that could also have done it, but he immediately gets himself hurt with a possibly broken leg when his childhood friend, 'Silly' comes to the rescue, but they both don't know that there are plans to send Silvain to London for the season to be with her older sisters and fid a husband when Terrance is trying to find the real murderer.
This story is not a murder mystery as I though it would be, as the real murderer is found in the first half of the story, but more a romance between Silly and Terrance who are both very immature.
Cute story with everyone a little evil and a little good and lots of adventures with a three legged fox.
