Archeology and a Science of Man Book

The book is a fascinating insight to the start, the first generation of Canada’s forensic field. As someone on the peripheries of the current forensic science field (friend of a friend and such), this book is quite accurate and well written in its depictions and descriptions (crunchy popcorn will never be the same).

Most of the problems are still issues faced today; just the previous months I read a Toronto Star article trying to discredit the current chief forensic pathologist of Ontario. The book has a great appeal to people with science and non-science backgrounds alike, and has a decent summation of the science without going into too much jargon.

It’s interesting to see how much has changed in a historical context, and yet how little has changed when it comes to the carriage of justice. I highly recommend this book to anyone remotely interested in the topic.
