Annual Report of the Directors of the American Education Society Book

I dislike sounding 'below the line' or 'negative'; however, although an easy read, I did not feel I found anything new in this book from any other self-help or professional book. New names for old hat, perhaps. Another way to put a 'positive' spin on what is wrong in education & how to handle it. (You can't do anything about it, so just smile & stay above the line. Lemons to lemonade, buddy!) Even a way to get rid of friends, essentially (because they are a weight of negativity, not a benefit). Reminds me of Amway rhetoric.
I get it. But...educators are tired of being told to toe the line, ignore, smile, & if you pretend hard enough, it'll all go away.
It should be noted that this was a professional book given to us by admin for a faculty study. It was not a 'free choice' reading.
